Jadeja, who debuted against Sri Lanka on February 8, 2009, has now played 100 ODIs, 15 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and eight Tests in his five-year long international career.
While he primarily started off as a batting all-rounder, but off late, he has reversed roles to become more valuable as a bowler to his captain, than as a batsman. Jadeja has 116 wickets in ODIs so far, and 36 in Tests. In fact, in ODIs, he is one of the most economical spinners in the world. He maintains an economy of just 4.72 runs an over in ODIs, to go along with a strike rate of 41.8, and a handy average of just over 32.
Jadeja’s biggest moment in Indian colours came during India’s victorious campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013, in which he was adjudged the man of the series as well.
